About Us:
The Parent Information and Resource Center of Vermont(PIRC Vermont) is designed to support all families in the critical role they have in their child’s development and education. PIRC Vermont helps families become active partners in their child’s education, while supporting schools to become fully accessible to every family. Research has shown us that when families are part of their child’s education, there is greater academic success, decreased social and behavioral concerns, and children are more likely to graduate and go onto college. The project is one of 62 nationally funded PIRC’s in the nation. Therefore, all services offered are FREE of charge to families and schools across the State of Vermont. Examples of services offered include (but are not limited to):
Consultation
Facilitated meetings between all stakeholders
Research-based tools and strategies
Workshops and in-service trainings
Site visits with needs-based assessments
For more information about this opportunity to increase parent involvement or any other training opportunities and services offered FREE of charge by PIRC Vermont, please contact Kathleen Kilbourne, Director, at 876-5315 ext. 244 or KathleenK@pircvermont.org.
We look forward to collaboratively working with schools and families!
